Aria FAQ

Written by Jade from CraftedStays

Quick answers to the most common questions about Aria. For deeper how-to coverage, see How Aria builds your site and Getting the most from Aria.

Using Aria day to day

Can I undo something Aria did?

Yes. Small edits (text changes, color tweaks, swapping a button label) apply right away and you can undo them like any other editor change. Bigger structural edits (adding a page, removing a section) show up as a preview first — click Discard if you don't want them.

Does Aria publish my site?

No. Aria edits an unsaved working copy of your site. Nothing goes live until you save in the editor and publish the way you normally would.

Can Aria change my domain, DNS, booking engine, or PMS sync?

No. Aria works inside the site editor only. Domain, booking engine, pricing, and PMS sync stay where they have always been.

Does Aria work on mobile?

The site editor is desktop-first today, including the Aria panel. Sites Aria builds are mobile-optimized by default — what you build with Aria looks great on a phone, but you build it from a desktop.

Can I turn Aria off?

You can simply not use it. The rest of the editor works exactly the way it always has. If you want the Aria panel hidden entirely, message us in Intercom and we'll sort it for your account.

Your team and your data

Can my team use Aria too?

Yes. Anyone with editor access to your site can use Aria.

Can two people use Aria at the same time?

We don't recommend it. As with the editor in general, only one person should be working in the editor at a time — that includes using Aria. If two people are editing in parallel, whoever saves last will overwrite the other person's changes. Coordinate before jumping in.

Does Aria see other customers' data?

No. Everything Aria reads (your portfolio, your reviews, your Sightline Report) is scoped to your account. For the full picture, see How Aria uses your data.

What Aria reads

Why doesn't Aria see a property I just added?

Aria reads your portfolio from your PMS sync. New properties show up after the next sync runs (usually a few minutes). If something seems missing after an hour, message us — we will check the sync.

Why doesn't Aria use my latest reviews?

Same answer. Reviews flow in through your PMS sync. Aria reads what is currently in your portfolio data.

Aria wrote something that isn't true about my property. What happened?

Aria pulls from real data, but if a field is missing or wrong in your portfolio, Aria can write around it in a way that sounds confident. Tell Aria what is actually true ("we have 4 bedrooms, not 3") and it will rewrite. Also worth checking your PMS sync so it gets corrected upstream.

Sightline Reports

Where do I generate a Sightline Report?

From your CraftedStays dashboard. Look for the Sightline Report card and click Generate. About 15 minutes start to finish.

How often can I regenerate it?

You can regenerate when your portfolio, reviews, or market change meaningfully. There is a monthly cooldown between regenerations to prevent accidental re-runs.

Does Aria need a Sightline Report to work?

No, Aria still works without one. But pages Aria writes are noticeably more grounded when there is a Sightline Report in place, because Aria can read from your real positioning, voice, and value props.

Pricing and limits

Is Aria included in my plan?

Yes. Aria is part of the platform. There's no separate Aria fee.

Is there a usage limit?

We don't cap typical usage. If you do something unusual at scale, we will reach out before anything affects your workflow.

When something goes wrong

Aria didn't apply the change I asked for.

Tell Aria. Say "I don't see that change" or "that landed on the wrong section." Aria will re-read the page and verify what actually exists, then fix it.

Aria seems stuck or stopped partway.

Send a new message asking it to continue, or break your request into a smaller step. "Just add the hero first, then we'll do the gallery" almost always works.

Aria gave me a generic-sounding draft.

Two fixes that usually do it: name the real properties or markets you want pulled in, and give explicit voice direction ("restrained, operator voice, no luxury speak"). Aria treats voice direction as a hard rule.

Something else is broken.

Reply to your CraftedStays onboarding thread or message us in Intercom. We watch every Aria session closely in these early weeks and will get back to you fast.
