Hospitable Integration: Complete Setup Guide

Step‑by‑step guide to fully set up and integrate your Hospitable account.

Overview

Connect your Hospitable account to CraftedStays to automatically sync your properties, photos, availability, and enable direct bookings on your website.


Prerequisites

Before connecting, make sure you have:

  • An active Hospitable account

  • Properties set up in Hospitable

  • A payout method configured in Hospitable (required for bookings)


Step-by-Step Connection

1. Select Hospitable as Your PMS

When you first sign up or from your dashboard:

  1. You'll see the PMS selection screen

  2. Click on Hospitable


2. Authorize CraftedStays

  1. You'll be redirected to Hospitable's authorization page

  2. Sign in to your Hospitable account if prompted


  3. Click "Authorize" to grant CraftedStays access

  4. You'll be redirected back to CraftedStays


3. Select Properties to Import

After authorization:

  1. CraftedStays will display all properties from your Hospitable account

  2. Select the properties you want to display on your website

  3. Click "Import Selected"

4. Wait for Property Sync

  • Properties will begin importing immediately

  • Photos may take several minutes to fully sync

  • You'll see a status indicator showing sync progress


Enabling the Booking Widget

For guests to book directly through your site, you need to enable the Hospitable

Booking Widget:

1. Verify Payout Method

In Hospitable:

  1. Go to Settings > Payouts

  2. Ensure you have an active payout method configured

  3. The booking widget won't work without this

2. Enable Widget in CraftedStays

  1. Go to your site Settings

  2. Navigate to Hospitable Settings

  3. Enable the Booking Widget

  4. Save changes

Manual Sync

If you've made changes in Hospitable and want them reflected immediately:

  1. Go to Properties in your CraftedStays dashboard

  2. Click on the property you want to update

  3. Click "Sync Now"

  4. Wait for the sync to complete


Troubleshooting

Properties Not Importing

Problem: You authorized Hospitable but no properties appear.

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you have active properties in Hospitable

  2. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Hospitable

  3. Contact support if the issue persists

Photos Not Showing

Problem: Property imported but photos are missing.

Solutions:

  1. Wait - Photos can take several minutes to sync

  2. Click "Sync Now" on the property

  3. Verify photos are uploaded in Hospitable

Duplicate Properties

Problem: Same property appears twice.

Solution:

  1. Go to Properties in your dashboard

  2. Delete the duplicate entry

  3. Keep the one with complete data

"Unknown provider: null" Error

Problem: Property shows an error message.

Solution:

  1. Delete the problematic property from CraftedStays

  2. Re-import the property from Hospitable

  3. If it persists, contact support

Booking Widget Not Showing

Problem: Property page doesn't show the booking calendar.

Solutions:

  1. Verify payout method is active in Hospitable

  2. Check that Booking Widget is enabled in Settings > Hospitable Settings

  3. Make sure the property has availability in its calendar

Calendar Not Displaying Dates

Problem: Booking calendar shows but no dates are available.

Solutions:

  1. Check availability settings in Hospitable

  2. Verify the property isn't blocked for all dates

  3. Sync the property again

Code Showing Instead of Description

Problem: Property description shows HTML code or placeholder text.

This is usually a temporary sync issue:

  1. Wait a few minutes

  2. Click "Sync Now" on the property

  3. If it persists, contact support


How Bookings Work

  1. Guest visits your CraftedStays website

  2. Guest selects dates and clicks "Reserve" or "Book Now"

  3. Guest is taken through the Hospitable booking widget

  4. Payment is processed by Hospitable

  5. Booking confirmation is sent to guest

  6. Reservation appears in your Hospitable dashboard

  7. Calendar automatically updates on your CraftedStays site

Important: All payments are processed through Hospitable. CraftedStays does not handle payment processing.
